At Maldon and District Dramatics Society (MADDS) we strive to provide inclusive community there to the Maldon District, creating opportunities on and off stage for individuals to express their creativity. At MADDS, we believe that theatre is for everyone. Whether you like to Sing, Dance, Act, help out with the Technical Team, help out with Backstage or help with the Front of House, we can accommodate for you. Our Mission
To bring accessible and inclusive amateur theatre to the local community of the Maldon District Area. We want to be able to include a wide range of resources and community folk to make this happen.  At MADDS we want to be able to confidently stick to our tag line ‘There’s always room for Theatre’, no matter your age, abilities or background – and deliver the most professional amateur theatre productions we can.

Our Vision
Our vision is to be able to create theatre, utilising all the strengths of our members and our community in a diverse and fun way, at multiple venues throughout the Maldon District Area.

Our Values
 At MADDS we believe that a clear set of values creates the baseline for a safe, fun and productive environment, whether during rehearsals, shows or our meetings. Our values are:

–      Integrity – We value honesty and accountability, holding our management and creative teams to a high ethical and professional standard across all areas of theatre.

–      Respect – We value respect for our members, creatives, management, technicians, volunteers and audience members. Respect for each other and respect for the arts, comes first at MADDS.

–      Collaboration – We value and strive to collaborate with other societies, creatives and venues across the area. To be able to support each other, and join forces, to ensure sustainable, consistent and fun theatre for all.

–      Excellence – Although we are amateur, we value excellence, and we recognise it! Everyone has their expertise, their experiences, their abilities and we want to make the most of these at MADDs, whether on or offstage. We understand that a society is made up of multiple strengths from multiple sources.
